The Tŝilhqotin National Government is based in Williams Lake British Columbia serving six communities including ʔEsdilagh Tletinqox Tlesqox Tŝideldel Xeni Gwetin and Yuneŝitin. The Tŝilhqotin National Governments mission is to support and empower Tŝilhqotin peoples to exercise their rights to self-determination within their traditional territories in ways which reflect Tŝilhqotin philosophy values experience and culture.

The Senior ECE Coordinator provides strategic oversight program coordination and quality assurance forECEand language immersion initiatives across Tsilhqotin communities. This role involves supervising educators coordinating curriculum and daily operations building strong relationships with families and ensuring programs support childrens developmental social and emotional needs. The Senior ECE Coordinator also contributes to staff professional development program planning and continuous quality improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and implementation ofECEand language immersion programming
  • Supervise and mentor staff as needed
  • Coordinate training (ECEcertification language immersion PD sessions)
  • Liaise with community leadership daycares and partners
  • Ensure integration of Tsilhqotin language culture and land-based learning
  • Oversee reporting evaluation and grant compliance


Key Deliverables

  • AnnualECE& Language Program Plan
  • Training schedule and materials (ECE language immersion)
  • Quarterly progress reports (activities participation outcomes)
  • Community engagement records (meetings visits)
  • Final grant report with outcomes and recommendations


Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Valid ECE certification
  • Several years of progressive experience in childcare or early learning environments
  • Leadership and supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of child development licensing regulations and curriculum planning
  • Excellent communication organizational and conflict-resolution skills


Working Conditions

  • Travel may be required
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and additional hardware
  • Overtime as required
  • Lifting or moving up to 25lbs may be required
