What youll do (the highlights)

As aSenior Direct Support Professional you are a Full-Time leadership team member and the lead staff on shift responsible for coordinating daily operations supporting your team and ensuring high-quality care.

What that looks like:

  • Working a bi-weekly rotating schedule featuring a mix of daytime evening and weekend shifts.

  • Leading and coordinating staff on shift to ensure all responsibilities are completed.

  • Providing direct support including personal hygiene grocery shopping housekeeping meal preparation and socialization.

  • Ensuring the environment is clean safe and comfortable.

  • Supporting medical needs including appointments medication and follow-ups.

  • Organizing the day monitoring routines and ensuring accurate timely documentation.

  • Reviewing staff documentation time tracking and incident reports for accuracy.

  • Supporting staff through guidance task assignment and real-time coaching.

  • Encouraging and supporting people at DASCH to engage in community activities based on their likes and abilities.

  • Advocating for people at DASCH ensuring their best interests are always prioritized.

  • Being a role model to both staff and people supported by promoting independence dignity and respect.

Your qualifications:

  • Completed Grade 10 in Canada or you have achieved Level 6 on the Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment.

  • A Class 5 Manitoba Drivers License (Intermediate Stage acceptable).

  • Have a smart device with internet access.

  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or related education.

  • Demonstrated leadership or experience guiding others in a team environment.
