Job Summary
Senior DevOps Engineer
Be part of an evolving technology environment within the insurance sector for our client contributing to initiatives that support automation infrastructure modernization security and emerging AI capabilities. You will collaborate with various teams to help advance priority projects and drive continuous improvement across enterprise platforms and processes.
What is in it for you:
Salaried: $68-83 per hour.
Incorporated Business Rate: $84-100 per hour.
4-month contract.
Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
Weekday schedule: flexible start time (8-9 am).
Primarily remote: once every 2 weeks in the office (when required).
Responsibilities:
Design build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins shared libraries and JTE pipeline libraries for database and infrastructure automation.
Develop and extend Ansible roles playbooks and execution environments for configuration management and operational automation.
Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
Enhance and refactor existing Terraform modules.
Implement secure automated rotation and lifecycle management of passwords service accounts API keys and TLS certificates across cloud database and Kubernetes environments using CyberArk HashiCorp Vault Active Directory or LDAP and Kubernetes secrets integrations.
Design and build GenAI and agentic AI solutions including RAG pipelines agent orchestration MCP servers and clients and tool-calling integrations with internal REST APIs and DevOps systems.
Integrate automation with enterprise systems through REST APIs including ITSM and ticketing platforms monitoring solutions source control systems and secrets platforms.
Support operational readiness activities including logging monitoring alerting error handling and runbook automation.
Follow enterprise security compliance and change-management controls within a regulated financial-services environment.
Work closely with DevOps team members database administrators security teams Active Directory teams and infrastructure teams.
What you will need to succeed:
Education and Certifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering (required).
Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (preferred).
AWS Solutions Architect certification (preferred).
AWS DevOps Engineer certification (preferred).
HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification (preferred).
Microsoft cloud certifications (preferred).
Google Cloud certifications (preferred).
Required qualifications
5 years of hands-on DevOps Cloud or Automation Engineering experience.
AWS experience including IAM EC2 S3 RDS/Redshift Lambda Secrets Manager VPC networking and CloudWatch.
Advanced experience with Ansible Automation Platform 2.
Experience with Jenkins declarative and scripted pipelines shared libraries JTE libraries and credentials management.
Experience with Terraform including reusable modules state management and multi-environment deployments.
Experience with Git and Bitbucket.
Programming experience with Python.
Experience with PowerShell and/or Bash.
Experience working with REST APIs.
Solid understanding of database operations and infrastructure.
Practical experience with secure password and certificate rotation at scale.
Experience with CyberArk HashiCorp Vault Active Directory and TLS.
Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift.
Experience with Docker or Podman.
Preferred qualifications
Experience in financial services or other regulated industries with audit and compliance requirements.
Experience delivering enterprise-wide AI or automation platforms supporting multiple teams.
Experience with ITSM or Jira automation and integration.
Experience with Grafana InfluxDB and Tableau.
Experience building GenAI or agentic AI solutions in production or near-production environments including RAG MCP (Model Context Protocol) LangGraph LangChain AWS Bedrock AgentCore or equivalent agent frameworks as well as prompt engineering LLM evaluation guardrails and cost/token awareness.
