Job Summary
Were growing our Finance Team and hiring a Senior Accounting Coordinator who can take ownership across Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable. You dont need both skill sets come with depth in one and well round out the rest. Youll join a team with other Accounting Coordinators reporting into an Accounting Manager and take a lead role in guiding more junior teammates as well as having exacting ownership of your duties.
Depending on where your strengths lie youll own keeping our customer accounts current timely and accurate invoicing payment collection and reconciliation or own the payables side generating payments reconciling vendor statements and credit cards and resolving outstanding items and missing documents with vendors. Youll take the lead on more complex reconciliations and escalations help tighten our processes as we scale and pick up general finance duties and troubleshooting along the way. Our business excels at communication so you must be comfortable reaching out to clients customers or vendors by both phone and email if youre more comfortable on keyboard than a phone this will not be the right role for you.
As we grow through acquisition youll also play a key role folding newly acquired companies AR/AP processes into ours building trust quickly with their finance partners and getting their accounts onto our systems and standards. Exceptional attention to detail. This is your most important quality; you catch errors and discrepanciesbetter yet you find them before they become mistakes!
Sound judgement you can find discrepancies and catch anything problematic making sure that work is done correctly (the first time) is essential.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude; this is a cross-functional role that deals with all our teams but especially our Solutions (operations) team on a day-to-day basis. Understanding their requirements and delivering against them are key.
Experience in either Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable you dont need both well cross-train you on the rest.
You bring 5 years of experience with a track record of owning your function end-to-end and improving how it runs not just keeping up with it.
Youre comfortable mentoring or guiding more junior teammates.

You have used previous accounting software and understand the functionality of this type of tool.
You have experience in the logistics or freight industry and can readily apply your knowledge to our business other industries are welcome too but this is a strong plus.
Youve helped integrate an acquired companys finance function before and have a knack for building trust quickly with new partners and teams were growing through M&A so this comes up often.
This is a full-time permanent position working with our Dynamic Green Team in our vibrant and bright Burlington office. Youll work in our office four days a week collaborating with our team.
