Senior Accountant Part Time

Our client is a Calgary-based industrial services company with a lean growing team. They are seeking a Part-Time Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting and provide reliable monthly financial reporting. As the Part-time accountant you will work closely with the external accounting firm which handles year-end financials and tax returns.

Reporting directly to the owners you will own the full accounting cycleAP/AR payroll GST bank reconciliations general ledger and month-end close. Inventory accounting is a key focus including reconciliations variance investigation COGS analysis and gross margin reporting. You will also maintain fixed asset schedules track capital expenditures and prepare year-end working papers and support the transition to a new accounting platform.

You must be a hands-on professional with strong technical skills and advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP SUMIFS INDEX/MATCH). Experience with inventory accounting and system migrations is a strong asset. This role suits a self-starter who can operate independently and collaborate effectively with external accountants and stakeholders.

This part-time role offers 2025 hours per week with occasional additional hours during month-end inventory counts and year-end. Compensation ranges from $45$50 per hour depending on qualifications.
