Job Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:
- Immediate open temporary position (six month requirement)
- $35.00 - $36.83 per hour
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent education required
- Successful completion of related post-secondary education would be an asset
- 13 years experience in inventory/production control or scheduling
- Experience with MAPICS an asset
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
- Strong understanding of materials management and inventory control fundamentals
- Self-motivated with the ability to initiate and follow tasks through to completion
- Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in MS Office (Excel Word)
MAIN DUTIES
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand inventory requirements and manufacturing capacity.
- Monitor production performance and adjust schedules as necessary to address changes in demand material shortages equipment downtime or labor constraints.
- Coordinate with RAW material supplier (Rollstamp) to ensure material availability aligns with production plans.
- Collaborate with leadership in E-COAT Paint and Assembly to optimize production flow and resource utilization.
- Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify scheduling improvements and efficiency opportunities.
- Communicate schedule changes and priorities to E-COAT Paint and Assembly team in a timely manner.
- Monitoring inventory accuracy and conducting cycle counts / audits.
- Support inventory management initiatives to maintain target inventory levels while minimizing excess stock.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on productivity and operational efficiency
- Generate and distribute production schedules reports and performance metrics as required.
- Assist in capacity planning and forecasting activities.
- Coordinate hanger cleaning activates and work with the production team to establish shipping and receiving timelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned
