Sales Manager
Department:
Job Summary
The Role
Were looking for a Sales Manager to lead and energize a small sales team. This is a player-coach role: part of your week will be spent coaching motivating and removing roadblocks for your reps and part of it may be spent directly securing and managing a book of house accounts.
We are a lean tight-knit team where everyones contribution is visible and you will thrive here if you are hands-on by nature energized by daily sales activity and good at bringing out the best in a small nimble team. We sell across the mid-market and enterprise levels leveraging both inbound and outbound strategies. If you like being close to the action - coaching reps one day jumping on a client call the next - this is your kind of place.
What Youll Do
- Lead coach and motivate a small team of sales reps - running regular 1:1s pipeline reviews and call-coaching to build skill and energy and to ensure continuous improvement of key sales metrics (eg close rates).
- Set the tone for the team day to day: hands-on energetic and engaged rather than purely strategic or hierarchical.
- Take responsibility for the delivery of the sales departments quota.
- Professionally respond to RFIs and RFPs as required to secure new business
- Take responsibility for the management of house accounts as required.
- Own team-level pipeline health and forecasting and be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of sales team KPIs to leadership.
- Help recruit onboard and ramp-up new sales reps as the team grows.
- Work closely with marketing customer success and product teams to ensure a smooth client hand-off and ensure successful ongoing execution.
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve the sales process tools and messaging.
- Jump in on deals directly when needed - helping to close unblocking a stuck opportunity or covering for a rep.
- Leverage technology to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of our sales process utilizing the latest in AI tooling to improve our teams performance.
What Were Looking For
- 36 years of B2B sales experience with some team leadership or mentorship experience.
- A genuine hands-on style - youd rather be in the field on calls and writing RFP responses than buried in strategy decks.
- Experience motivating and developing a remote team; you know how to keep energy and accountability high without heavy process.
- Comfortable carrying some individual sales responsibility yourself alongside managing others.
- Ability to travel if/as required to support sales team prospects and clients.
- Experience in market research customer experience measurement SaaS or a related B2B services space is an asset.
- Strength in utilizing technologies including Microsoft product suite CRM tools and emerging AI tools.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a natural relationship-builder both with clients and with your team.
- The ability to work one day of the week in the Kanata Office would be an asset.
Compensation
- Base salary of 120k-130k plus a variable compensation package tied to performance.
Why Intouch Insight
- An entrepreneurial and collaborative environment where your impact is visible and immediate.
- The chance to shape how a sales team operates rather than inheriting a rigid playbook.
- Work with recognizable established brands across North America.
