Sales and Catering Manager

Reporting to the General Manager the Sales & Catering Manager is responsible for soliciting contracting and finalizing smaller groups with or without event space as defined by the property. The role includes supporting the Sales team and ensuring follow-up for all group related activities including lodging meeting space catering and special events in line with sales and marketing strategy and objectives.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Prospect new business opportunities through outbound sales activities including cold calls email outreach referrals networking and lead generation.

• Develop and manage an assigned portfolio of local accountsmaintainingregular contact to grow existingbusinessandidentifynew opportunities.
• Conduct proactive sales calls and client visits to strengthen relationships and generate repeat business.
• Identifyopportunities to increase hotel revenue through cross-selling and upselling guestrooms meeting space catering andadditionalhotel services.
• Maintainaccurateclient information sales activities and account updates within Opera and other sales systems.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for booking and detailing small groupsrequiringrooms and catering ensuring group block information in Opera isaccurate entering rooming lists setting up billing and handling other necessary preparations.

• Manage rooming lists arrange audiovisual needs configure event spaces and prepare final invoices.

• Follow up with clients during the billing process to ensure deposits arereceivedand final bills are paid within seven days of group departure.

• Act as the liaison between operations and sales teams keeping all parties informed of relevant developments.

• Coordinate activities according to contracts in collaboration with other departments.

• Manage andmaintainOpera profiles for VIP clients travel agents and companies in collaboration with the sales management team.

• Answer and address all general inquiry calls directed to the sales team.

• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

• Conduct post-event follow-up with clients to gather feedback strengthen relationships andidentifyfuture business opportunities.

• Represent the hotel at networking events and client functions asrequired.

• Support sales initiatives promotional campaigns and strategic prospecting activities.

• Collaborate with the Sales team to achieve departmental revenue goals andmaintainstrong client relationships.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a SalesandCatering position

• College or University degree preferred

• Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage workload effectively

• Guest service experience

• Knowledge of the hotel industry and the boutique hotel concept

• Excellent computer skills withproficiencyin Microsoft Office; knowledge of Opera Cloud is an asset

• High levelof discretion

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Strong attention todetail

The salary range for this role is between53000$ and67000$ plus bonus depending on experience qualifications and internal equity.
