Safety, Health, Environment, & Sustainability Co-op Student Winter 2027

We are seeking a Safety Health Environment & Sustainability Co-op Student for a 4-month term position starting in January 2027. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience supporting corporate SHES programs initiatives and projects across a diverse business environment. Working alongside experienced SHES professionals you will assist with various related activities compliance initiatives data management and administrative support that contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.

• Assist with the administration and coordination of health safety and environmental programs.
• Support the collection analysis and reporting of SHES data and metrics.
• Assist with maintaining SHES documentation records and compliance tracking systems.
• Support incident reporting investigations and follow-up activities as required.
• Work on selected Sustainability and Environmental projects such as waste and landfill management emissions tracking and others.
• Assist with the development and updating of SHES procedures presentations and awareness materials.
• Participate in workplace inspections audits and risk assessments.
• Conduct research and assist with continuous improvement projects to enhance SHES performance.
• Collaborate with team members across various departments to support organizational SHES objectives.

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science Environmental Studies Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in workplace health safety and environmental management.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Comfortable engaging with employees and asking questions to learn and improve processes.
• Volunteer or previous Co-op experience related to health safety orenvironmental initiatives is considered an asset.
