Job Summary

Rural Community Liaison
Lethbridge Family Services (LFS) is seeking a Rural Community Liaison to join our team in Home Services!
The Rural Community Liaison is a resident of the local area who helps support the delivery of services and organizational initiatives through projects designed to strengthen community engagement recruitment and operations.
The liaison will be engaged on an as-needed basis to provide local insight and consultation support and drive community projects and assist leadership in achieving the mandate of LFS.
This position is casual. The ideal applicant would have open availability to support initiatives or attend events days evenings and weekends strong community connections and a desire to contribute in a meaningful way. Hours will vary from month to month depending on events and initiatives with no guaranteed minimum.

Rural community liaisons:
identify opportunities to strengthen LFSs presence in the rural areas and represent LFS at community events
promote employment opportunities and assist with local recruitment initiatives
participate in interviews candidate introduction or onboarding support when requested
gather information and provide recommendations related to rural services delivery
conduct local research and support performance quality improvement (PQI) activities and
maintain the remote office location and coordinate access to the office as required.

Qualifications:
a degree or diploma in a health-related discipline business administration or communications (a combination of education and experience will be considered)
a minimum of 5 years of experience in the health care field
experience in organizing community events or creating collaborative community relations
excellent organizational and administrative skills and
excellent interpersonal and communication skills; verbal and written.

All new employees of LFS must provide a police information check and vulnerable sector check dated not less than 90 days prior to the date of hire.
