Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse
Location: North Vancouver BC
Contract Length: Minimum 6 Weeks
Shifts Available:

• Day Shift: 810 hours
• Evening Shift: 8 hours
• Night Shift: 8 hours

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse to join a high-performing perioperative team in Vancouver BC. This contract opportunity is ideal for an OR nurse who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and brings strong experience across multiple surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe high-quality perioperative nursing care throughout surgical procedures
• Prepare and maintain operating rooms instruments and surgical equipment
• Collaborate closely with surgeons anesthesiologists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient patient care
• Maintain sterile technique and uphold infection prevention standards
• Monitor patient status and advocate for patient safety throughout the perioperative process
• Support surgical workflow and contribute to positive patient outcomes across a variety of cases

Qualifications

• Active BCCNM RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience
• Operating Room Certification required
• BLS Certification
• Demonstrated experience supporting multiple surgical specialties including:
  • Neuro Surgery
  • Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN)
  • General Surgery
  • Urology
• Strong communication organizational and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic acute care environment
