A career in our Risk Modelling Services (RMS) team as a Life Actuary will provide you with the opportunity to contribute risk modeling and insurance advice and consulting services to clients across all sectors. The Opportunity:

As aRisk Modelling Services Actuarial Life Senior Associateunlock your potential and embrace the chance to drive meaningful outcomesthatllelevate your career. Your role will include butisntlimited to:

• Supporting a broad range of consulting services and audit support assignments. Consulting services involve working closely with senior actuaries on Appointed Actuary and actuarial liability valuation work capitaland riskreview and analysis advisory services on IFRS 17 M&A related consulting product development and a variety of other consulting work

• Provide support for IFRS 17 financial statement audits as an actuarial specialist including assessment of valuationmethodologyand assumptions experience studies regulatory capital reporting reservereconciliationand data validation. You will work closely with experienced actuaries and colleaguesacross PwCto ensure that the actuarial liabilities are fairly presented in the financial statements

• Working onad-hoc engagements such asinsurance systems modernization model governanceAXISmodelling andthedevelopment of AI solutions

• Collaboratingplanningand executing cross-functional projects with people outside of your core discipline including Advisory Deals Assurance Tax and Data & Analytics

• Working towards leading your own engagements and teams

• Coaching and providing technical training to junior staff

What Youll Bring
Your skills knowledge and experiences are what set you we look for:

• Considerable experience in an actuarial role in the life insurance industry

• Actively pursuing the FCIA designation or recent FCIA

• Working knowledge of IFRS 17 investments hedging stochastic modeling segregated funds participatingproductsor product development considered an asset

• Prior experience within a consulting or advisory role is an asset

• Demonstrated strong technical skills using Moodys AXIS/Risk Integrityand MS Office suite

• Proven ability working with data analytic tools (Tableau Alteryx VBA)andanappeititefordevelopment ofAIsolutionsconsidered an asset

• Exceptional commitment to providing excellent client service by building andmaintainingproductive relationships with both internal and external clients

• Advanced analytical andproblem-solvingskills with strong attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and work effectively under tight timelines

• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain complex actuarial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside and/or coaching diverse people and perspectives

The salary range for this position is $84700 - $134700. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada base salary is determined by your skills experience qualifications and work addition to base salary eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
