TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Contract Full Time
CONTRACT: Long Term Contract; Estimate 400 Days 300 Day Option
NUMBER OF POSITIONS: Four (4)
JOB SUMMARY: Rig Mechanic is responsible for monitoring and maintenance of the mechanical equipment.
PRE-REQUISITES/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Marine Diesel Mechanics Certificate or Equivalent Combination of Experience and Training
- 4 years experience as a Rig Mechanic on a 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible
- 4 years experience with AKMH MH Wirth and MH Crown Compensator equipment
- Structured and organized mindset
- High level of integrity
- Analytical ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Must pass Physical Drug Screen and Background/Pre-Employment Screening Checks
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform maintenance and repair work as well as fault-finding work on mechanical equipment.
- Comply with proper maintenance procedures in accordance with Odfjell s maintenance program.
- Update drawings of mechanical systems (P&ID) whenever changes are made.
- Responsible for mechanical workshop w/equipment.
- Observe to uncover any non-compliance and immediately report these to his superior.
- Participate in the emergency preparation organization as per muster list.
- Responsible for ensuring that all work is done safely and professionally and actively take part in safety meetings and other meetings.
- Emergency duties according to the units emergency organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
