We are currently looking for a dedicated Resident Heavy Duty Mechanic who will be responsible for the field maintenance troubleshooting and repair of a variety of Caterpillar equipment based in the Medicine Hat area.

If you are a safety conscious team player self-motivated autonomous detail-oriented and possess your Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification with a valid drivers license then you are exactly who we are looking for!

Major Job Functions:

• Perform diagnostics troubleshooting repairs and maintenance on Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment.
• Interact with customers product and sales support and the rest of the Finning team.
• Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
• Complete technical documentation and reports.
• Work with the Service Supervisor on various tasks.

Qualifications:

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification
• Valid drivers license with a successful recent drivers abstract
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Completion or in the process of completing all Finning S- level courses
• Self-motivated and computer literate
• Experience with Costwatcher DBS SIS and Warranty Systems as well as a good understanding of Finning systems would all be assets
• Successful candidate will need to be customer orientated and motivated to meet the customers expectations
• Minimum of 5 years experience repairing CAT equipment

Note:

• This position will work a Monday to Friday day shift
• Shift work may be required in the future
• Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
• Hours and shift schedules that may be subject to change to meet Finning or customer requirements and will be made in accordance with the Collective Agreement
