Requirements Management Specialist
Job Summary
The Requirements Specialist supports the implementation and maintenance of requirements management processes across complex railway and transit projects. Working closely with Systems Engineering Design Safety and Assurance teams the role is responsible for managing requirements throughout the project lifecycle including traceability allocation change control verification and compliance reporting. The Requirements Specialist maintains requirements data within tools such as DOORS Next Generation (DOORS NG) supports configuration and hazard management activities and develops reports and metrics to demonstrate project compliance and progress. This role requires strong analytical organizational and communication skills to ensure requirements are accurately captured effectively managed and successfully verified to support safe compliant and efficient project delivery.
Lead the administration and maintenance of the DOORS NG requirements database configuration management database and hazard log.
Maintain requirements traceability allocation status and verification across systems design deliverables interfaces and compliance evidence.
Support requirements reviews updates baselining and change control activities.
Prepare compliance verification and validation matrices reports and requirements status metrics.
Coordinate with Systems Engineering and Assurance teams to ensure the quality completeness and consistency of requirements.
Support technical reviews audits and the resolution and closure of requirements-related comments and actions. Ensure requirements are adequately addressed verified and ready for project handover.
Maintain requirements KPIs and status reporting.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or a related field. 2 years of experience in systems engineering on major rail/transit infrastructure or complex systems projects.
Familiarity with requirements management software in particular IBM DOORS.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with strong organizational analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply new concepts technologies and tools.
Capacity to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams manage data prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
