Your responsibilities may include:Providing nursing care to emergency critical care and hospitalized patientsMonitoring patients and recognizing changes in their conditionAssisting with anesthesia and surgical proceduresPerforming and assisting with diagnostic procedures including imagingSupporting emergency and critical care cases from triage through treatment and recoveryAdministering medications and treatmentsPlacing and managing IV catheters and fluid therapyCommunicating with clients regarding patient care and treatment plansWorking closely with DVMs and the broader veterinary teamSupporting hospitalized patients and maintaining accurate medical recordsParticipating in ongoing learning case discussions and professional developmentWhat Were Looking ForWe are looking for an RVT who is:Registered and in good standing with the appropriate provincial regulatory bodyPassionate about patient care and veterinary nursingComfortable working in a fast-paced environmentConfident in their technical skills or eager to continue developing themInterested in emergency critical care anesthesia surgery and/or diagnosticsA strong communicator and team playerCompassionate dependable and adaptableCommitted to providing excellent care to patients and their familiesEmergency experience is an asset but we are also happy to hear from RVTs who are interested in developing their emergency and critical care -Life BalanceWe understand that a rewarding career also needs to leave room for life outside of strive to provide a fair distribution of weekend time off and promote a positive work-life balance across our team.
