Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm

Position Summary
The Peter Munk Cardiac Centre program provides world-class cardiovascular care. One of the largest programs of its kind in North America we are a major referral centre. Our program offers resources and expertise prepared to deal with even the most complex patient cases.
Our multidisciplinary team includes physicians surgeons nurses pharmacists dieticians and other allied health professionals with special training in cardiac and vascular conditions and its treatment. Each year our innovative surgery techniques and outstanding cardiology interventions attract hundreds of visiting professors and trainees from around the globe.
Duties
- Performs Duplex vascular ultrasound imaging procedures as outlined in the procedure manuals for all tests to aid in patients diagnoses and/or treatment
- Operates troubleshoots and ensures ultrasound medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner
- Prepares/writes/documents and does OHIP billing for all procedures and test results
- Participates in teaching educational research safety and quality improvement programs/activities
- Performs other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care
- Observes and understands Hospital and departmental policies and procedures; adheres to Hospital and departmental mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality
Qualifications :
- At minimum completion of a 3 year community college program in Ultrasound or recognized equivalent
- Completion of a recognized post diploma Ultrasound program or recognized equivalent
- Effective body language and people management skills with the ability to demonstrate sensitivity when dealing with intimate patient contact situations
- Ability to meet patient care needs
- Computer literacy
- Awareness of hospital emergency codes and procedures
