Job Summary
THE OPPORTUNITYWe have an opportunity for a Registered Accounts Administrator to join our award-winning firm in the Vancouver YOULL DOReporting to the Supervisor Registered Accounts we are seeking a Registered Accounts Administrator with a working knowledge of registered plans and products. The successful candidate is client service-focused detail-oriented and motivated to provide high quality support to advisory groups in a dynamic-paced client information and process forms for account activity related to registered accounts (RRSP RRIF RESP RDSP TFSA and FHSA)Responsible for tax reporting of registered productsRespond to day-to-day inquiries and requests from internal and external clients in a timely mannerSupport training for new and existing colleagues and assistants on registered accountsContribute to and lead continuous improvement initiatives related to best practices operational efficiency and service levelsWork closely and collaboratively with team members across the firmCOMPETENCIESAnalysis Assess quantitative and qualitative data information or situations to understand the most important details identify patterns or meaning and translate it into useful recommendations decisions or actionsCoordination Prioritize organize and manage information people assets resources messages tasks and/or activities to achieve a goal within timelinesCustomer Service Determine needs capture relevant information apply internal policy or regulation and escalate and prioritize the requests of customers to answer inquiries fulfill transactions or resolve issuesOperational Policy and Procedures Apply knowledge of the firms procedures and processes to execute work to a high standard of consistency efficiency compliance and safetyProject Management Plan coordinate execute and oversee projects balancing time resources and scope to achieve objectives support stakeholders and meet deadlinesRegulatory Knowledge Understand and apply relevant laws regulations and standards to meet legal and ethical requirements and reduce risk for clients and the firmSystems and Application Proficiency Use maintain manage or improve specific systems or applications in our role to work effectively and efficientlyKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE2 years of investment industry experience working in Client Services or a similar functionPost-secondary education in business or a related field or equivalent experienceKnowledge of registered products and policies is preferredExperience in a financial institution with a solid understanding of CRA guidelines and trustee obligationsWorking knowledge of financial regulatory requirements on registered products tax reporting anti-money laundering and complianceAbility to exercise good judgement and decision-making within a policy and regulatory frameworkAble to build effective working relationships with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently and accuratelyExperience with Broadridges Dataphile or similar bookkeeping systemIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word Excel Outlook)Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize important and time-sensitive tasksAble to work independently and take initiative along with flexibility and willingness to assist othersAbility to take initiative and seek out information and solutions independentlyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWHAT WE OFFERA culture of openness collaboration and respect is foundational to our firm. The expected salary range for this role is $50000 $55000 per year plus eligibility for a performance based team is growing and we have room for one more qualified individual.
