The Regional Manager Insurance (Southern Manitoba) role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a group of rural insurance offices throughout Southern Manitoba. This is a highly visible leadership position for an experienced insurance professional who enjoys developing people strengthening branch performance building relationships and having a direct influence on the success of their region.
The successful candidate does not need to live in one of the rural communities they oversee but must be comfortable with frequent travel between branches. A car allowance is provided to support the travel requirements of the role alongside a competitive salary and bonus structure.
As the Regional Manager Insurance (Southern Manitoba) you will provide strategic and operational leadership to a group of rural branches empowering teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences while achieving business growth and performance objectives.
Regional Leadership & Operations:
Provide leadership and oversight to a group of insurance offices across Southern Manitoba ensuring consistent operational standards and an effective client experience.
Regularly visit branches to understand local opportunities and challenges provide support to branch leaders and maintain a strong leadership presence across the region.
Identify opportunities to improve processes productivity service standards and overall branch performance.
Team Leadership & Development:
Coach mentor and develop branch leaders and insurance professionals through regular performance discussions feedback training and career development.
Foster a culture of accountability collaboration engagement and continuous improvement across the region.
Identify emerging talent and support employees in building their skills and progressing their careers within the organization.
Business Growth & Performance:
Drive growth retention and profitability across Personal Lines Autopac and other insurance portfolios within the region.
Monitor branch performance and key business indicators identifying trends and implementing strategies to achieve regional objectives.
Work closely with branch teams to identify new business opportunities and strengthen existing client relationships.
Customer Experience:
Champion a client-first culture and ensure customers receive knowledgeable personalized and responsive service.
Support branch teams in handling complex customer situations and resolving issues effectively.
Promote relationship-based insurance practices that contribute to long-term client loyalty and retention.
Community & Relationship Building:
Build strong relationships with employees customers community organizations and other local stakeholders throughout Southern Manitoba.
Maintain a visible presence within the communities served by the region and represent the organization at relevant local and industry events.
Encourage teams to participate in community initiatives and activities that strengthen the organizations local relationships.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure branch operations comply with regulatory requirements company policies industry standards and established risk-management practices.
Provide guidance to branch leaders and employees on appropriate processes controls and insurance practices.
Remain current on developments within the Manitoba insurance market and communicate relevant changes to regional teams.
To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:
Education & Experience:
Minimum 5 years of insurance industry experience with demonstrated leadership or management experience.
Experience leading insurance professionals branch operations or geographically dispersed teams.
Strong knowledge of Personal Lines and Autopac insurance.
Experience within a rural insurance market or working with multiple branch locations is an asset.
CAIB designation or equivalent is preferred.
Licensing & Technical Skills:
Minimum Level 3 General Insurance Licence.
Strong understanding of the Manitoba insurance market and regulatory environment.
Experience with EPIC or other insurance brokerage management systems is an asset.
Strong business acumen and the ability to use performance data to identify opportunities and drive results.

Strategic and commercially minded with the ability to balance operational priorities with long-term growth.
Highly organized and comfortable managing competing priorities across a geographically dispersed region.
Comfortable travelling frequently between rural branches and maintaining a hands-on leadership presence.
