Were looking for two Homelessness Team Recovery Workers to join our Croydon service and help some of the most vulnerable people in our community access the support services and opportunities they need to move forward.

People experiencing homelessness often face multiple and interconnected challenges that can create barriers to accessing healthcare treatment housing and wider community services. Too often they are required to navigate complex systems at a time when stability can feel out of reach.
This role helps change that.
As a Homelessness Team Recovery Worker youll act as a vital link between individuals accommodation providers healthcare services local authorities and community organisations. Youll help people access the right support at the right time ensuring they are connected to services that can improve their health wellbeing social inclusion and housing outcomes.
Whether supporting someone into treatment helping them engage with health services or coordinating support during a move into accommodation your work will help create opportunities for sustainable change and greater independence.

Its an opportunity to work at the heart of a partnership approach that brings together housing health social care and community organisations to improve outcomes for people experiencing homelessness.
Working across Croydon youll spend time building relationships with individuals in hostels shelters temporary accommodation and community settings helping them access the support they need to achieve their goals. Youll work proactively to engage people who may have previously found services difficult to access and help create pathways that are responsive inclusive and person-centred.
Youll coordinate support across a range of partners ensuring people are connected to treatment services healthcare providers housing teams peer support networks and wider community resources. By advocating for those you support and working collaboratively across multiple agencies youll help remove barriers strengthen engagement and promote continuity of care.
No two days will be the same. One day you may be attending a multi-disciplinary meeting with health and housing colleagues. Another might involve supporting an individual to access treatment reconnect with services or move successfully into longer-term accommodation.
Throughout it all youll be helping people recognise their strengths build confidence and take positive steps towards a healthier and more stable future.

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week
Allowances: Outer London Weighting pro rata
*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Were looking for people who combine empathy resilience and determination with a genuine commitment to supporting those facing multiple and complex challenges.
You may already have experience working with people who are homeless vulnerably housed or experiencing social exclusion. Your background could be within homelessness services housing substance use mental health criminal justice social care or another community-based support setting.
Youll bring:
- Experience supporting people experiencing homelessness rough sleeping or insecure housing situations
- The ability to build positive relationships with individuals facing complex challenges
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with a range of partner organisations including health housing and social care services
- The ability to work independently remotely and with a high degree of personal initiative
- Experience engaging people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- A calm and professional approach when managing challenging situations
- A commitment to person-centred strengths-based support
