Job Summary
The South Shore Regional Hospital (SSRH) in Bridgewater has a full-time permanent position in diagnostic radiology. We are looking for a radiologist with MR fellowship or strong experience in the Fall of 2026 when the new MR at SSRH is operational. Breast imaging and prostate biopsy experience would also be an asset. The successful applicant will join a group of six (6) radiologists to provide diagnostic imaging services to the SSRH Queens General Hospital and Fisherman Memorial Hospital as well as call coverage.
South Shore Regional Hospital (SSRH) is a primary and secondary care hospital and designated district trauma centre. SSRH has 85 inpatient beds including medical surgical intensive care obstetrics and mental health units. The modern regional hospital is the cornerstone of Bridgewaters residents and surrounding community members quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Diagnostic imaging services including CT MRI ultrasound x-ray mammography and nuclear medicine
- Various image guided procedures
- Physician will be responsible to the Zone Department of Radiology for professional responsibilities and quality of practice as well as operated within the medical staff Bylaws of Nova Scotia Health
- Provide hospital and call support as required
- Contribute to and participate in other administrative responsibilities as assigned

- Remuneration type is Fee for Service payment model.

Qualifications :
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- All applicants must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
