Job Summary
In accordance with the Vision Purpose and Values and strategic direction of the Island Health ( Vancouver Island Health Authority) patient & staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reports to the Section Head Radiology responsible for the operation of a particular service of the Medical Imaging Department. The incumbent may be assigned permanent night or evening shift.
Graduate from a recognized Radiology Technology program. Registration in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) BC Division. Previous experience in all types of general radiology with exposure to advances procedures preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in all routines specific to the area.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift and position patients for examinations.
- Ability to work independently.
