Quality Engineering Co-op (Fall Term 12 Month Contract))

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Quality Engineer for all carryover programs new program launches and engineering prototype builds
- Analyze issues affecting internal quality (PPM) and productivity issues (OEE - overall equipment efficiency)
- Update measurables presentation material and other tracking documents for monthly Quality Operating System (QOS) reviews and Ergonomic Committee Meetings
- Assist with quotations for current programs (continuous improvement opportunities) and potential new programs (new fixtures equipment processes etc.)
- Perform Ergonomic/Safety risk assessments and assist with quarterly audits
- Must be aware of relevance and importance of their activities and how it effects quality and the environment for our customers
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of high school or equivalent.
- Less than 1 year of work-related experience.
- Enrolment in a post-secondary program in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Previous experience in automotive manufacturing or general assembly manufacturing an asset.
- PLC experience an asset
- Basic Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Ability to read and understand AutoCAD layouts and blueprints
- Basic understanding of Ergonomics an asset
Salary Range: $19.45 - $24.89/per hour
