Job Title: QA Engineer

Job Summary / Role Summary

Primary Skills

  • Typically 7 or more years in software quality assurance with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior testing capacity
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle SDLC and hands on experience with test automation frameworks eg Selenium Appium and test management tools
  • Analytical Thinking: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities for root cause analysis and defect tracking
  • Certifications: Certifications like ISTQB CQA or CSTE are highly desirable

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Planning: Define testing scope design test coverage plans and establish robust test strategies for new product releases
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor QA engineers allocate daily tasks and monitor individual and team performance
  • Process Optimization: Identify areas for continuous improvement in testing methodologies frameworks and CICD pipelines
  • Collaboration: Partner with Cross functional teams DevOps Product and Developers to translate business requirements into actionable test cases
  • Reporting: Define and track QA metrics eg test coverage defect density release quality to provide regular status reports
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex testing strategies to stakeholders
