The Opportunity

The Psychiatrist will provide assessment consultation diagnosis and treatment for patients experiencing a range of psychiatric and mental health concerns.

Responsibilities may include:

• Comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment planning

• Consultation and collaborative care with referring providers

• Medication management and psychotherapeutic interventions as appropriate

• Participation in interdisciplinary case discussions and shared-care planning where appropriate

• Supporting quality initiatives and program development

Practice focus and patient population may be tailored to align with the successful candidates interests and expertise.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario

• Certification in Psychiatry through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada

• Experience in outpatient psychiatry and collaborative care settings preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Familiarity with EMR systems and virtual care platforms

• Bilingualism (English/French) considered an asset
