Project Manager Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary
Reporting to the Engineering Team Manager the Project Manager will be responsible for contributing to the implementation of new processes as well as the optimization of existing production lines.
What youre responsible for:
- Analyze issues and identify stakeholder needs;
- Propose solutions and define project requirements;
- Plan projects and oversee their execution including budgets schedules changes and other project-related activities through final delivery;
- Develop equipment layouts for new or existing facilities and coordinate multidisciplinary project execution (mechanical civil structural electrical construction etc.);
- Analyze interpret and prepare drawings specifications and other project documentation for the procurement and installation of equipment and the construction of facilities;
- Coordinate supply and installation contracts with suppliers and contractors including engineering manufacturing logistics construction installation and commissioning activities;
- Supervise construction and installation work on-site while ensuring compliance with safety standards;
- Participate in project coordination meetings with contractors equipment suppliers and professional service providers;
- Review and approve project-related invoices.
Qualifications :
To join our team:
- Degree in Industrial Mechanical or Process Engineering with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience;
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
- Experience in industrial equipment maintenance;
- Familiarity with industrial equipment and facilities including electric motors conveyors pumps steel structures and related systems;
- Experience in a similar industrial environment such as mining cement manufacturing or heavy industry is considered an asset;
- Knowledge of the construction industry;
- Bilingual in English and French;
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks;
- Responsible and well-organized with the ability to effectively manage stress;
- Strong adaptability;
- Strong customer service skills.
