Project Manager – Building Science

Job Summary:

The Project Manager Building Scienceserves to manage building envelop and restorations projects from initial stage to the completion of the project including the investigation/ rehabilitation of curtain wall roof window sealant parking lot concrete and masonry.

In this role you will:

• Provide engineering expertise to prepare design drawings and specifications for the repair and rehabilitation of building envelope components and deteriorated structures.
• Conduct condition survey assessments through the testing and evaluation of building envelope and concrete systems for residential commercial and industrial buildings
• Manage junior staff and project associate in conducting condition assessments
• Prioritize and deliver multiple small/medium projects from beginning to end independently
• Drive business development activities in the Eastern Ontario Gatineau and Montréal areas including scheduling budgeting tendering contract administration business development and preparation of proposals.
• Use initiative and judgment to resolve problems interpret engineering specifications and investigate design and field engineering difficulties.

You will be a great fit if:

• You are knowledgeable about related disciplines/fields of engineering
• You have a bachelors degree in Applied Science or Engineering from an accredited University
• You have a minimum of 3 years prior experience in building science in a consulting or contracting environment
• You have a . license and driving license
• You thrive in a fast-paced dynamic team-oriented environment
• You have working knowledge of Ontario building codes and standards
• You have experience assessing and repairing some of the following elements: Curtain walls windows and sealant roof waterproofing concrete steel and masonry.
• French oral and writing communication capabilities will be considered an asset but are not mandatory.

Location: Ottawa ON (Hybrid)

Compensation: $80000 to $95000 CAD depending on experience
