Key position functions include:

• Work closely with the Project Engineering Team providing technical and design support to determine the best solutions to specific customer needs.
• Provide support on new product line design and development.
• Execute on all customer orders.
• Prepare product design for compliance with engineering principles company standards industry standards customer requirements and related specifications.
• Prepare necessary calculations required on new and existing products.
• Provide engineering production support to machining welding assembly and other departments.
• Provide technical support for field service customers sales and manufacturing.
• In coordination with the quality department troubleshoot quality issues as it pertains to material rejects material review warrantee issues and custom engineering requirements (NCIRs).
• Develop write and implement production procedures as it pertains to the support of engineering functions (i.e. machining test assembly etc.).
• Develop and deliver presentations required for customer design reviews / meetings.
• Review customer RFP and RFQ documents for technical requirements and develop the project outline.
• Assessevaluateand incorporate technical requirements for the project including input from external agencies sales and end users todeterminetheir specific design requirements anddeterminethe best solution for the applicationutilizingstandard SFI product lines.
• Review custom product design solutions for compliance with engineering principles company standards industry standards customer requirements and related specifications.

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years related experience in wellhead product design and development and/or services.
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or technical institute.
• Stream-Flo or competitor product knowledge and applications are an asset.
• Membership with APEGA/ASET or eligible to get membership: Eng P.L. (Eng.) C.E.T. or .
• Proficient with 3D modeling and drafting using Creo / Solidworks / AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of all API 6A product requirements.
• Knowledge of stress analysis.
• Knowledge of the development and control of design documentation.
• Proficient in technical writing.
• Ability to maintain a high attention to detail while working on several tasks.
• Strong presentation interpersonal and customer service skills
• Highly self-motivated well organized and desire to gain experience / expand knowledge.
• A mechanical aptitude and methodical approach to problem solving
• A commitment to workplace health and safety
