Purpose:
We are currently recruiting for a Project Director to oversee and lead a critical mining project in St Johns Newfoundland. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based at Worleys Markham or Oakville offices in Ontario with regular travel to site.

The Project Director will provide direction and project management to ensure project completion in accordance with contractual obligations. They will define project goals and devise methods to accomplish them and will develop in-depth knowledge of customer objectives contract terms and corporate policies.

Responsibilities:

• Leads the large cross-functional project delivery team.
• Oversees motivates and monitors the performance of the team ensuring quality and timeliness of assignments and roles and addresses any performance gaps.
• Create strong collaborative team environment by establishing common vision setting clear expectations and accountability.
• Provides leadership to thirdparty team members.
• Experienced in the use of Worley project delivery methodology and associated tools for large complex projects.
• Demonstrated capability of overseeing largescale projects with responsibility for the full performance of the project (planning directing supervising and controlling all technical fiscal and administrative functions).
• Procurement of equipment/materials on Worley paper subcontracting and materials plan multiple contracts on Worley paper.
• Has experience with managing complex scope changes.
• Manages projects and monitors progress in an ordered accurate way provides accurate and timely information.
• Has completed a full project from start to finish and spent time in the field implementing what was engineered.
• Has coordinated the preparation of an integrated set of project execution plans for large/mega projects or complex projects (i.e. engineering HSE Quality procurement project controls estimating construction etc.)
• Manages execution coordination and implements regular reviews/controls to track project progress.
• Comprehensive understanding of Project Control Reports identifies problem areas and implements recovery plans.
• Interprets and understands all of the key elements of the project schedule to identify adverse trends and take correction action.
• Applies forward planning with schedule to resource the project appropriately.
• Has successfully managed the application of appropriate coordination reviews and follow ups across the project.
• Application of Advanced Work Packaging for planning and delivery.
• Experienced in successful workshare execution.

What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:

• Senior-level relevant supervisory project management and/or technical experience within the Mining Minerals & Metals industry.
• Experience leading workshare EPCM EPC including site assignments Multi-Cultural / Multi-National environments.
• Professional registration in local jurisdiction. Certified Program Management Professional by a globally recognized project management organization (IPMA APM PMI AIPM).
• Knowledge of cold weather projects and of the Newfoundland area would be highly advantageous.

Education Qualifications Accreditation Training:

Required:

• University Degree or equivalent in related field or applicable discipline or equivalent relevant experience

For applicants based in the province of Ontario the salary range is $208509 - $258509 CAD.
Application of the pay band: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidates qualifications relevant years of experience geographic location internal pay equity and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
