Job Summary

Position Description:

We are looking for an experienced Project Control Officer (PCO) to support the successful delivery of large-scale technology initiatives within the financial services sector. The successful candidate will partner closely with Project Managers and stakeholders to ensure projects remain on track from a financial governance resource and delivery perspective.

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or client office a minimum of 2 days per week subject to change.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

- Coordinate and oversee project governance administration and reporting to support successful project delivery.
- Track project budgets forecasts schedules risks and key milestones ensuring timely escalation of issues.
- Perform weekly and monthly financial analysis forecasting budget reconciliation and reporting for project stakeholders.
- Manage project resource onboarding and offboarding activities including coordinating requests tracking progress and maintaining resource records.
- Support release management by coordinating production release documentation approvals and change management activities.
- Maintain project documentation governance artifacts and SharePoint repositories in accordance with organizational standards.
- Facilitate project status meetings and prepare executive-ready reporting and dashboards.
- Collaborate with Project Managers Finance vendors and business stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
- Mentor junior Project Control Officers and promote project management best practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Commerce Accounting or a related discipline.
- 4-8 years of experience as a Project Control Officer Project Coordinator or Project Manager.
- Strong background supporting financial services projects.
- Experience supporting large-scale projects with budgets exceeding $2 million.
- Demonstrated experience managing project financials forecasting budgeting and reporting.
- Experience with resource management including onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Experience supporting release management and project governance activities.

Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Experience with Jira and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint Word SharePoint).
- Excellent organizational communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Certifications
- CAPM
- PMP
- Scrum Master SAFe or other Agile certifications

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55000-$105000. This role is an existing vacancy.
