Greystone Energy Systems is seeking an experienced and strategic Product Manager HVAC & Gas Detection to join our growing team in the Ottawa Region. This is an exciting opportunity for a product management professional who is passionate about innovation customer-driven solutions and advancing the future of building automation HVAC sensing and gas detection technologies.

Reporting to the Director of Product Manager you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic direction of Greystones product portfolio. From business case development through product launch and mass production you will work cross-functionally with Engineering R&D Operations Sales and Marketing to deliver market-leading solutions that support smart buildings energy efficiency and indoor air quality.

Objective & Purpose

• Experienced Product Manager

• Support the strategy development and lifecycle of Greystones product portfoliofrom Business Case preparation to Mass Production

• Work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver market-leading solutions.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

• Define in cooperation with the leadership of Greystone Energy Systems Inc. and execute product strategy and multi-year roadmap for HVAC solutions (temperature humidity CO₂ pressure airflow occupancy IAQ)

• Identify opportunities based on market trends regulations and competitive analysis

• Gather and translate customer and market insights (VOC) into business cases and Product Requirement Documents (PRDs)

• Lead product development with Engineering R&D Operations Sales and Marketing as a member of cross-functional team

• Manage the full product lifecycle including launches improvements and end-of-life planning

• Act as a subject matter expert in building automation and HVAC sensing; Support innovation and commercialization of new sensing solutions (smart buildings IoT energy efficiency).

Education Training & Experience

• A university degree or college diploma in a related technical field is preferred

• Product management training

• International business exposure

Skills and Competency Requirements

• 510 years of product management experience (preferably in HVAC electronics or building automation)

• Strong expertise in HVAC controls HVAC sensing technologies Gas detection and abuilding automation systems (BAS)

• Experience leading cross-functional product development in a manufacturing environment

• Ability to translate strategy into clear product requirements

• Understanding the customer practicing market analysis and segmentation

• Requirements management

• New product introduction process management (NPI)

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Experience with gas detection sensors or transmitters and their applications

• Knowledge of industry standards (e.g. ASHRAE energy regulations)

• Familiarity with tools like JIRA Confluence Power BI and ERP systems (Syspro)

• A hands-on can-do attitude with the ability to deliver accurate results in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
