Principal Technical Program Manager, MADS
Job Summary
Programmatic Reporting owns Amazon Marketing Stream and the Reporting APIs the interfaces advertisers and partners worldwide use to consume Amazon Ads measurement data. Behind them sit the pipelines that source transform and deliver that data processing billions of aggregated datapoints on Apache Spark Apache Iceberg and AWS. Delivering this data accurately freshly and cost-efficiently requires programs that span multiple engineering teams product management and partner organizations across several sites and regions.
You take on the programs that dont yet have a shape where the strategy is still forming the right sequencing isnt obvious and what success even looks like has to be defined before anything can be planned. You bring order to that ambiguity across the many engineering product science and partner teams spread over multiple sites and regions and you build the mechanisms that keep delivery predictable at that scale. The guidance standards and operating cadence for how these programs run are yours to shape. You operate with real technical depth: you read the designs ask the sharp question in an architecture review and when the direction is wrong you challenge the strategy the architecture or the way the organization is structured to deliver and back it with a concrete alternative. You do this as a trusted advisor to the organizations senior leaders: you frame the decision the tradeoff and your recommendation for audiences that run from the working team all the way up to the organizations most senior leadership and you help shape where they invest. And you run programs the way this team builds them: instrumented automated agent-assisted. Status rollups and dependency tracking largely assemble themselves freeing your own hours for the judgment calls no tool can make. You influence without authority and you make the teams around you and yourself faster.
