Education

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing or a directly related field. All nursing courses must be taught by someone who holds a BScN BN or a masters in nursing.

• Eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan.

Knowledge and Abilities

• Minimum two years recent and relevant clinical or teaching experience in the specialty area to be taught.

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills including written verbal and presentation.

• Proven organizational skills.

• Ability to apply the theory practices and principles of nursing and adult learning.

• Small group facilitation skills and leading modeling and teaching interaction skills.

• Effective instructional ability.

• Proven ability to work independently and make sound decisions.

• Understanding of the principles of adult education.

• Effectively deliver course material as provided by Saskatchewan Polytechnic and develop complementary material to supplement the course as required.
