Education
Bachelors Degree in Nursing or a directly related field. All nursing courses must be taught by someone who holds a BScN BN or a masters in nursing.
Eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan.
Knowledge and Abilities
Minimum two years recent and relevant clinical or teaching experience in the specialty area to be taught.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills including written verbal and presentation.
Proven organizational skills.
Ability to apply the theory practices and principles of nursing and adult learning.
Small group facilitation skills and leading modeling and teaching interaction skills.
Effective instructional ability.
Proven ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Understanding of the principles of adult education.
Effectively deliver course material as provided by Saskatchewan Polytechnic and develop complementary material to supplement the course as required.
