PowerApps Specialist

Reporting to the Manager Business Intelligence the PowerApps Specialist will be responsible for maintaining enhancing and developing content within our PowerApps catalogue.

The PowerApps Specialist will also be responsible for creating detailed documentation hosting knowledge transfer and training sessions and providing mentorship to BI team members and business stakeholders. The role will provide ongoing support for business-critical Power Apps including enhancements troubleshooting testing and ensuring solutions align with standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Maintain enhance and develop business-critical Power Apps solutions
• Troubleshoot defects resolve production issues and improve application performance
• Create test plans and conduct unit testing and user acceptance testing
• Manage application releases changes documentation and lifecycle activities
• Ensure solutions meet security governance access and organizational standards
• Create detailed documentation for reference and troubleshooting
• Host knowledge transfer and training sessions for BI team members and business partners
• Provide mentorship and coaching on Power Apps development best practices
• Communicate progress blockers and risks with BI team members and business partners

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience building and maintaining Power Apps solutions
• Certificate Diploma or Degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering Business Technology Management or a related field or an equivalent combination of education certifications and relevant experience in Power Apps development and support
• Knowledge of business intelligence analytics and reporting systems
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and reporting deliverables
• Familiarity with Agile delivery environments and tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Experience supporting analytics initiatives within construction engineering telecommunications infrastructure or related industries is an asset
• Strong proficiency in developing model-driven apps and canvas apps
• Experience creating documentation for applications and low-code/no-code solutions
• Ability to train and coach technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
