Job Summary

Sandstone Pharmacies Glenmore Landing is looking for aPostal Clerk/Front Store Clerk to join our team in Calgary Alberta. Responsibilities:Provide warm friendly customer service by greeting all customers and handling inquiries and batch incoming and outgoing mail accurately and on timeAssist customers with mail-related inquiries and servicesVerify address accuracy postage and packaging requirementsProcess transactions such as selling stamps receiving letters and handling MoneyGram servicesWeigh and calculate postage for letters and parcels; affix correct postageOperate computer systems for data entry and transaction processingPerform physical tasks including bending reaching lifting and carrying as neededOperate the cash register stock shelves tidy aisles and support various front-store store policies on security shoplifting and lottery ticket cash levels anticipate change needs and request pickups when strong product knowledge stay informed about new items and maintain awareness of store products effectively using shelf labels rotation and facing allocated sections and notify buyers of out-of-stock in inventory maintenance and support reordering seasonal displays and promotional difficult customer situations with tact and escalate complaints as needed. Report customer feedback and concerns to the store the Front Store Manager and Pharmacy Manager with additional tasks as requiredQualifications:Accurate cash handling skills with strong computer and POS proficiencyPrevious customer service or cashiering experience preferred; retail and merchandising experience considered an assetClear courteous communication skills with the ability to manage conflict and solve problems effectivelyStrong multitasking abilities to serve multiple customers in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervisionProfessional demeanour including appropriate grooming and wearing a name tagPhysically capable of standing for long periods and performing tasks such as lifting and bending throughout the shiftThis position could include a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.
