As Plant Superintendent at Drax you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation maintenance and safety of the plant leading a team managing budgets and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Your Day-to-Day as a Plant Superintendent:

Oversee daily plant operations ensuring optimal efficiency and safety.
Lead coach and develop a high-performing team.
Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.
Track performance metrics and implement best practices for continuous improvement.
Manage budgets and optimize resource allocation.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
Drive sustainability efforts supporting Draxs low-carbon mission.
Prepare and present reports on plant performance to senior management.
Maintain a strong focus on sustainability and contribute to DRAXs mission of delivering low-carbon energy solutions.

What youll bring:

To excel in this vital role youll need:

Bachelors degree in engineering operations management or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in plant or manufacturing management preferably in the energy or heavy industrial sector.
Strong leadership and people management skills with experience in leading diverse teams.
In-depth knowledge of production processes safety regulations and environmental standards.
Excellent problem-solving decision-making and organizational skills.
Experience in managing budgets resources and financial performance.
A commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
