Learn more about the history of Leggett & Platt: what will you be doing as a Plant Accountant
Lead branch accounting activities including journal entries reconciliations review and approval of financial statements and ensuring proper internal controls.
Manage the financial close process and ensure deadlines are met with accuracy and compliance.
Perform local tax accounting and reporting ensuring all tax-related requirements are met.
Complete corporate reporting requirements both ongoing and ad hoc.
Maintain financial compliance with corporate and regulatory standards including US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
Ensure the accuracy of financial data and support internal and external audits.
Respond to ad hoc requests and report requirements as necessary.
To be successful in this role youll need:
Post-secondary degree in Accounting Finance Business or related field. Professional designation (CPA CMA) is preferred.
5 years of finance and accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive industry preferred).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and US GAAP
Proven experience leading the financial close process and issuing financial statements
Proficient in MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Up to 5% (Local/Regional)
Compensation
Salary is $70000.00.
