Job Summary
Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Casual Pharmacy Assistant/Delivery Driver to join our team at Forbes Pharmacy - Pandora in Victoria British listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on candidate Assistant Responsibilities:Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient careGreet customers and answer phone calls in a professional mannerAssist with entering labelling and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technicianAccurately count measure and package medications according to established protocolsReceive and stock medication and supply shipments monitor inventory levels rotate stock and support inventory auditsKeep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulationsPerform clerical tasks such as filing faxing scanning and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfersAssist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assignedDelivery Driver Responsibilities:Perform pickups and deliveries of medications and medical supplies throughout VictoriaReports directly to the Pharmacy ManagerMaintains the safety and security of all cargoComplete delivery documentation and ensure delivery slips are signed and and maneuvers large packages as requiredMaintains accurate recordsCarries out additional duties assigned by the Pharmacy ManagerQualifications:Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy is preferredCompletion of a Pharmacy Assistant program is an assetExperience with Kroll software is considered a strong assetA valid provincial drivers license and a clean driving record are requiredFirst Aid and CPR certification is will be required to use their own reliable vehicle for deliveries. Mileage reimbursement will be and dependable with a high level of professionalismExcellent verbal and written communication skills ability to thrive in a team environmentStrong organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple assignmentsAbility to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containersAbility to lift and maneuver large packagesAbility to follow procedures and guidelines accuratelyWillingness to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays as neededCriminal Record Check requiredSchedule:The store operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday Sunday and Statutory Holidays from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PMHours for this role are 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM scheduled as We Are:Neighbourly Pharmacy is Canadas largest and fastest growing network of community pharmacies.
