People & Culture Manager

As People & Culture Manager Colleague Relations you will help shape an exceptional colleague experience by partnering with leaders on employee relations engagement recognition and workplace culture. Through a visible and approachable presence you will build strong relationships and champion Fairmonts culture of care and hospitality.

This is a full-time permanent position starting as soon as possible. 

Pay Range: $72000 - $85000 per annum dependent on experience and qualifications 

Job Duties Include:

• Build strong relationships with colleagues and leaders through a visible presence across the hotel
• Serve as a trusted partner on employee relations workplace concerns and team success
• Coach leaders to create engaging inclusive and high-performing teams
• Lead investigations conflict resolution attendance and performance management processes
• Drive colleague engagement recognition and culture-building initiatives
• Lead Employee Engagement Survey action planning and continuous improvement efforts
• Use colleague insights and workforce trends to enhance retention and engagement
• Ensure compliance with Fairmont standards and BC employment legislation
• Help create an exceptional workplace experience that supports outstanding guest experiences

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field
• Human Resources or People & Culture experience ideally within hospitality or a service-focused environment
• Proven success supporting employee relations and coaching leaders
• Strong understanding of BC employment legislation and HR best practices
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels
• Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential matters
• Organized solutions-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced operation
• Passionate about engagement culture and creating exceptional colleague experiences
