Be a part of our mission to support First Nations in achieving their financial goals and enhancing their administrative ApplyFlexible work hours and a 37.5-hour work weekAnnual salary and potential for an annual bonusGenerous employer paid extended benefits including a Registered Pension Plan with matching contributionsAbove average vacation days wellness days and holidaysOpportunities for professional development and career growthA talented diverse and inclusive team doing transformative work on a national scaleHybrid work opportunities availableWhat You Will Do:Support the accurate and timely processing of payrollProcess payroll changes including new hires terminations compensation updates leave overtime earnings and deductionsReview payroll data resolve discrepancies and maintain employee payroll recordsAssist with payroll reconciliations remittances year-end reporting and audit activitiesRespond to payroll inquiries and provide support to employees and managersAdminister employee benefit programs including enrollments changes and terminationsSupport health and dental benefits insurance pension retirement savings and employee assistance programsRespond to benefits inquiries and work with benefit providers to resolve issuesEnsure benefits deductions employer contributions and provider invoices are processed accuratelyPrepare payroll benefits and employee-related reports and maintain data in payroll and HRIS systemsSupport onboarding and offboarding activities related to payroll and benefitsPrepare employee communications and resources related to payroll and benefitsContribute to continuous improvement of payroll and benefits processes and service deliveryMaintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with legislative requirements and company policiesWho You Are:Post-secondary education in Business Administration Accounting Payroll Administration Human Resource Management or a related fieldPayroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation or working toward it is an assetMinimum two years of experience in payroll and benefits administrationKnowledge of Canadian payroll legislation benefits administration and payroll compliance requirementsExperience working with payroll and HRIS systems such as Dayforce ADP Payworks or similar platformsProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive informationStrong communication customer service and organizational skills with the ability to build positive working relationshipsExperience working with Indigenous Governments organizations and communities is considered an asset; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be consideredWhat to ExpectFMB aims to keep the recruitment process as open as possible.
