Key Responsibilities

• Provides dispensary and front-line service to students and clients in Dental Hygiene Dental Assisting Denturism and Restorative Hygiene programs.
  
• Responsible for handing out instruments to students and receiving instruments to be sterilized.
  
• Answers questions and addresses concerns regarding supplies orders and equipment.
  
• Cleans organizes and sterilizes student and faculty instruments by ensuring all instruments are placed in their proper place for easy locating; operating all forms of sterilization and all sterilization equipment.
  
• Other duties as assigned.
  

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Minimum one year certificate from a dental clinical program.
  
• Infection Prevention and Control Certificate is an asset.
  
• Minimum one year experience working in a dental environment involving a basic understanding of dental clinic and sterilization procedures.
  
• Competency in Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel.
  
• Committed to keeping current in the areas of dental assisting health and safety and infection control policies and procedures.
  
• Experience in handling hazardous substances use of protective eye wear gloves as well as a scrub uniform.

• Excellent customer service skills organizational time management and multi-tasking skills.
  
• Ability to lift up to 44 lbs. (e.g. boxes and supplies).
  
• Excellent communication collaboration teamwork and interpersonal skills at a professional level.

Please note: Hours of work willvary between 7:00 am - 8:00 pm (8 hours per day).
