Our client a prominent and growing Western Canadian law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Lending Paralegal to join its Vancouver office. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys working on sophisticated commercial lending and real estate financing matters within a collaborative and fast-paced practice group.

The successful candidate will provide paralegal support to lawyers handling a broad range of commercial lending and real estate transactions including financings refinancings development matters and secured lending transactions. The ideal candidate will be confident managing files independently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and client service standards.

The Role

• Prepare and assist with documentation for commercial lending transactions including mortgages security agreements corporate resolutions trust letters and related correspondence
• Review organize and manage commercial financing and lending documentation
• Support commercial real estate transactions and development-related matters
• Coordinate transaction closings and manage closing documentation
• Conduct due diligence searches and assist with file management throughout the transaction lifecycle
• Liaise with lawyers clients financial institutions and third parties
• Maintain organized electronic and physical file systems
• Assist with reporting and post-closing matters as required

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate of a recognized paralegal or legal assistant program (equivalent experience will also be considered)
• Minimum 5 years of commercial lending experience within a law firm environment
• Experience with commercial real estate transactions and financing matters
• Exposure to real estate development matters would be considered an asset
• Strong understanding of commercial lending documentation and procedures
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
