Job Summary

The Flex Machine Operators are responsible for set up troubleshooting and operation of machinery in the packaging department. You will primarily work a day shift schedule but may be required to work intervals on the night shift as needs arise (i.e. launches / seasonal volume increases). We will provide you with notice when you change shifts (from days to nights).Youll ensure the interminable and efficient running of packaging. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail safety standards and can run equipment with consistently good output. Being a team playeris essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly tomaximize OverviewSetting up machines tostart a production cycle including labelers printers robotic fillers and pumpsControlling and adjusting machine settings (e.g. speed)Feeding raw material or parts to semi-automated machinesInspect parts with precision and measuring toolsTest operation of machines periodicallyFix issues that might occur during the shiftCheck output to spotany machine-related mistakes or flawsKeep records of approved and defective units or final productsMaintain activity logsQualifications and Education RequirementsProven experience as amachine operatorMust be able to work various shift schedules as requiredWorking knowledge of diverse machinery and measurement toolsExperience in problem solving and following detailed proceduresAdherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)Ability to read blueprints schematics and manualsAbility to multi-task and be willing to learn and adapt to changeAttention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced changing and challenging team environmentAbility to work according to tight schedules and timelinesHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plusMust remain in compliance with provincial and federal regulations and internal company policiesPhysically fit; standing and/or sitting will be required for long periods of time and must be able to lift up to 25 lbsRequired to pass a criminal background checkSCHEDULEContinental rotating shift schedule: 4 days one week 3 days the following weekNight Shift Hours: Sun Sat. 7:45pm - 7:45am (12 hours)Day Shift Hours: Sun Sat. 7:30am 8:00pm (12.5 hours)Breaks are to be broken up based on team needs and discussed with Supervisor/Manager
