Job Summary

ARE YOU: A proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of construction and interior design coordination Do you enjoy being hands-on identifying issues early and driving practical solutions-focused outcomes If so you could be a great fit for our Owners Representative (Part Time - Independent Contractor/Consultant) role!

You will act as an extension of our team on Vancouver Island supporting on-site coordination between the Owner and Contractor monitoring construction progress and ensuring our communities are delivered in alignment with intended design quality schedule and budget.

YOU BRING: Strong organization and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a construction site-based role. You are creative problem solver with a solution-oriented proactive approach and comfortable working collaboratively with internal teams external partners and the general contractor.

WED LIKE YOU TO HAVE:

10 years of experience in architecture interior design project management or construction
Degree or diploma in Interior Design Architecture Building Technology or a related discipline
Ability to read and interpret full construction drawing sets
Strong understanding of materials finishes and interior detailing with a passion for delivering quality design
Working knowledge of construction sequencing and coordination
Excellent communication organization and time management skills
A self-motivated detail-oriented and professional approach

A DAY IN THE LIFE

You will act as the Owners on-site presence for our Vancouver Island communities helping ensure the projects progress smoothly and efficiently. Initially you will be our eyes and ears on one building under construction ramping up to overseeing 7 buildings.

You will:

Conduct regular site walkthroughs to monitor progress identify issues and flag risks early
Provide clear pragmatic recommendations to the Development team to resolve issues and maintain schedule
Help ensure design intent is executed accurately and in accordance with approved specifications
Support tracking of key milestones and overall project timelines
Liaise with external consultants including general contractor interior designers and suppliers
Collaborate closely with Development and Marketing teams to support the timely deliver of on-site presentation centres display suites and amenity FF&E
Support coordination across multiple Communities under construction
Provide regular updates and escalate issues as required
