OTR Tire Technician

Kal Tire is looking for an experienced OTR Tire Technician/Commercial Service Technician to join our Ottawa Commercial Store this role you will inspect repair and replace OTR tires on a wide range of equipment as well as service commercial truck and trailer tires. Youll work on everything from compact loaders and transport vehicles to some of the largest heavy-duty and industrial machines. Your schedule will be On-Call Rotation shifts (includes nights and weekends).

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections maintenance repairs and replacements of OTR tires on mining construction industrial and heavy-duty equipment.
• Perform tire mounting dismounting and wheel assembly services for OTR applications.
• Provide on-site fleet service roadside assistance and emergency field support as required.
• Operate service trucks tire handling equipment and specialized OTR tools safely and efficiently.
• Interact with customers professionally addressing concerns and recommending appropriate tire solutions.
• Communicate clearly regarding services performed inspection findings and maintenance recommendations.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with company and customer site safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid Drivers Licence (DZ licence is considered an asset).
• Experience in commercial tire service OTR tire service or a related field preferred.
• Ability to inspect diagnose and service OTR tires and wheel assemblies safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tire services.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing demanding manual labour.
• Safety-focused and committed to following PPE and safe work procedures.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and job site conditions.
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency roadside or after-hours service calls when required.
