Job Summary

Lysander Funds is an independent Investment Fund Manager headquartered in Toronto with regional offices in Montréal and Vancouver. We are seeking an Operations Manager working as part of the Lysanders Operations team. This role will provide support in the areas of day-to-day operations financial reporting and marketing functions. The Operations role will work closely and support Lysanders legal and compliance teams.

This new full-time position is based in our Toronto office with an expected annual compensation range of $85000 - $115000 commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

Managing the daily quarterly and annual operations of various funds which includes NAV calculations distributions performance reporting marketing materials etc.
Leading the work effort required to prepare reporting packages including financial statements MRFP reporting renewal of Fund documents and T3 returns.
Working with the Portfolio Managers and Fund Administrators to resolve settlement/pricing issues.
Fulfilling the regulatory deliverables for the mutual funds
Developing procedures that support the Lysander policies.
Manage and review invoice generation and processing.
Develop and maintain knowledge of applicable securities and other legislation.
Support new fund launches and other new business initiatives.
Maintain positive and professional relationships with service providers.
Work with service providers to resolve operational issues and ensure service levels and timelines are met.
Identify and implement improvements/enhancements of operational systems and associated controls and procedures.
Other job-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
A team player mind-set and is collaborative adaptable committed dependable and open minded.
At minimum 5 years of fund accounting or fund operations experience is required.
University degree or College diploma is preferred.
Successful completion of CSC or equivalent.
Strong interpersonal skills ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with all stakeholders.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suites (VBA programming experience is an asset).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and to prioritize.
Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Demonstrate flexibility enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
