Operations Manager

We are growing and looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team!As the Operations Manager you will oversee daily transportation yard and warehouse operations ensuring the safe efficient and cost-effective movement and storage of materials. This hands-on leadership role requires strong operational expertise the ability to lead multiple teams and experience in specialized transportation including pipe hauling and over-dimensional loads.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily trucking yard and warehouse operations including dispatch routing load planning and material handling.

• Lead coach and develop drivers dispatchers yard personnel and warehouse teams.

• Optimize fleet utilization equipment availability labour and operational costs.

• Manage warehouse operations inventory control and yard organization.

• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations hours-of-service requirements and safety standards.

• Coordinate equipment maintenance and operational readiness.

• Resolve operational challenges and customer service escalations.

• Monitor operational KPIs including on-time performance productivity inventory accuracy and cost control.

• Collaborate with Safety HR Maintenance and Accounting to support business objectives.

• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency processes and service delivery.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in trucking transportation yard or warehouse operationsis required

• Experience with pipe transportation and/or over-dimensional loads is required

• General warehousing experience is required

• Proven leadership experience managing operational teams

• Strong understanding of transportation regulations fleet operations and safety compliance

• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) electronic logging devices (ELDs) and warehouse or inventory management systems

• Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills

• Experience managing operational budgets and performance targets

• Knowledge of SAP Materials Management (SAP MM) is considered an asset
