Operations Coordinator, Vice President, Students

The Operations Coordinator contributes to the success of UFV and its student community through the efficient coordination of operational functions projects and events within the VP Students division. This role provides administrative support for exempt leaders and requires regular cross-functional collaboration with other staff administrators faculty and students as well as contacts external to the university.

• Completion of a two-year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• Minimum three (3) years relevant progressive experience at the senior assistant or project coordinator level preferably in a post-secondary institution environment.
• Formal or informal learning related to leading in a post-secondary institution (e.g. supervisory skills educational leadership indigenization student success) would be an asset.
• Superior interpersonal and written communication skills. Experience dealing with the public. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing demands and deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and the ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to respond to circumstances that involve conflict vulnerable populations highly sensitive topics risk etc.
• High level of competency in a variety of software applications including Microsoft Outlook calendar/email Word and Excel.
• Experience in accounting practices and financial reporting
• Experience using graphic design software and web content management systems
• Highly adaptable and able to manage change. Demonstrated proof of collegiality in a team environment.
