In this role of Occupational Therapist you will provide communityvisits to assessabilitiesand needs of individuals while working with multidisciplinary teamsandequipment vendors tofacilitate groups receiving treatment may include pediatrics forin homeor school services and/or adults with medical/health concerns.

Whatyoulldo:
Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team consisting of healthcare workersand other community resources
Analyze physical culturalsocialand institutional environmental impact on occupational performance and engagement issues
Develop clientcenteredplanswith client inter-professional teamsand adjust services to reflectaclientcenteredapproach related to physical social culturalinstitutionaland economic environment
Demonstrate effective andevidence-basedproblem solving and judgement to address client needs
Engage clientsusing a collaborative approach building rapport and trust achieving a mutual understanding and agreement related to services to be provided.
Maintainthe knowledgeskillsand attitudes to provide safe efficient effective service in all areas of practice by keeping abreast of changes in practice setting that affect scope of practice
Maintainprofessional client records related to client encounters and plans in compliance withParaMedspolicies and the standards applied by the regulatory body or Occupational Therapy college.
Whatyou bring:
Registration withthe provincial College of Occupational Therapists (in good standing)
Accepting New Graduates Licensed
ADP authorizationconsidered an asset
Strongcritical thinking andproblem-solvingskills
Knowledge of applicable community resources available for clients and families
Currentcertification (within the past 12 months)of First Aidand CPR
A valid drivers license and have access to a reliable vehicle
Able to provide a current clear VulnerableSectorScreening (VSS)
