Night Time Dock Worker

Job Summary
- Unload freight from trailers and load outbound trailers using electronic devices.
- Mark materials with identifying information
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed
- Count and on occasion is required to weigh items to ensure conformance to the shippers bill of lading
- Starts heaters placard trailers as required
- Arranges freight in specified sequence for maximum usage of trailer space
- Must take an active role in safety and maintenance of the warehouse by sweeping the floor properly storing dunnage etc.
- Tuesday to Saturday work week
- Hours are 1 AM to 8 AM with flexibility to meet customers requirements.
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications :
- Forklift Certificate and Forklift experience needed
- WHIMS/Dangerous Goods Certificate (These items are covered within in-house training programs)
- Developed problem-solving critical thinking decision-making and judgment skills
- Able to lift 50 lbs sometimes repetitive
- Ability to multitask and manage various tasks successfully
- Ability to operate our internal computer systems
- Knowledge of AS400 system an asset
